Brief Personality Description: Gwen is compassionate, the link to the world beyond Torchwood. She is still occasionally naive and very often stunned by the things she's seeing, learning and experiencing. Still able to smile on most days.
Brief History: Gwen was an ordinary police officer until her curiosity got the better of her. She watched the Torchwood team bring a dead man back to life, spent an evening getting the tour, and then got retconned. It didn't completely take and she ended up exposing Suzie's deceit and, ultimately, replaced her.
Not that she'd ever say that. Not that she's sure she wants to.
She knows more about aliens now than she ever wanted to. She's been nearly dead too many times to count. She's engaged to a man who really doesn't know what she does for a living and she's been in charge while Jack was gone.
That's a lot. And it just keeps going.
She left the Hub for a time. She's experienced everything through S01.E2 (or Sleeper). She's back.
